Hhmmm. where to begin? It seems as though a lot of my classmates have forgotten professionalism. I have my days and forget that I am in school. But we need to remind ourselves that there is a time and place for everything. And if you have trouble remembering which time is a good time for whatever is you wish to express or do, then practice it everywhere you go. Whether it be the grocery store or the mall, or even the park where it's open and public. Even if it's something that's bothering you, keep it clean. More people are listening than you know and to some people, they may not appreciate the presentation of your issues.
we are in a field o f compassion and understanding and when you don't express those qualities in your actions then you need to check yourself before you wreck yourself!!! People are not going to come sit in your salon chair if you are not someone they can respect or relate with. Negative actions bring only results. As so, if you react negatively to a situation in front of a client then they will follow that negativity and will not come back to you as a customer.
Clients come to your salon to have a relaxing time and feel better about themselves. when you send off the signal that you worry about your own issues along with cursing and negative remarks, then those clients are going to feel unappreciated and not return to someone who will not listen to their needs and feelings.
We don't realize how much that we say or do impacts people around us. Our mood affects people allows for them to feel down and out about issues they're dealing with. We need rethink the idea that everyone should respect the way you feel that day whether they like it or not and say to ourselves... It may not be their fault that you are in a bad mood, so why take it out on them or in front of them. They don't deserve that.
And CURSING! Oiii !! We all forget to keep it clean when we get angry. I have said my share of nasty words, but some people take it TOO far! You have your own personality and cursing might be a part of it, but no matter who you ask, they will tell you that in a professional world, a potty mouth is not at all an attractive personality trait. Let alone, is it attractive coming from a woman's mouth like a miltary man!
Think about it!
